Trains of life

while i was babysitting,
i had to tell this kid who is totally obsessed with trains a story.
this was that story.
my story, in a way.
hint: my story if you change the genders a bit...

There once was this boy,
he was happy.
he laughed a lot
he was out there with his friends
he was hyper
he was sweet.
He had this train set.
It was beautiful,
the most it had been in years.
The track wound around his room,
circling over and under.
The trains shined
and moved smoothly around the track,
everything was perfect.

Then,
one day,
this boy met this girl.
The girl was not perfect, by a long shot
but thats what was perfect about her.
She had long, knotted hair, a mousy brown.
She had a crooked smile, and a naisally voice.
They became friends.
and for some reason, the boy could spill everything to this girl
on the bus.
After time, they became friends,
and as even more time went by
the boy found he liked her more than a friend.
But it was not to be.
The girl had found another,
a "better"
more handsome boy
and she started to ignore the boy
avoid the boy.

slowly,
the boy shrank away
no longer did he smile
no longer did he laugh.
and one day,
when he came home,
his train track was broken.
shattered into pieces.
no longer did the trains race along the tracks.
and as hard as the boy tried
he could not fit the track pieces back together.

Then, he opened his eyes to another friend,
this girl wore a tie dye dress, had short hair that was blondish.
she was happy, or rather looked happy, no matter what happened.
And one day, that girl asked for more. The boy said yes.
That month or so,
the boy came home happy.
and everyday he came home
some of the track pieces fit back together.
But then, he saw the naisally voiced girl,
and when he went home
he was not happy
his pieces did not fit together anymore.
He found that tyedye girl also had another,
one more fit to her.
The boy ended tyedye's more than friends thing.
And that night, all the pieces were broken again.
Tyedye girl never forgave this boy.
never,
they stopped talking.
she yelled at him.
the boy wanted to be friends
but suddenly,
tyedye girl
wanted nothing.

the boy was sad for a while
nothing made sense
none of his train pieces would fit together.
The once happy dreams,
turned to nightmares
with nasally voiced girl, and tyedye girl.
some nights,
were fairy tales
of what could have been.
but then,
he would awake.
and the track was still broken.

then, another friend came to the rescue.
this one was different than the others.
She had gorgeous blue eyes, long blackish hair, and wore a black dress.
She was different, and that is what the boy liked about her.
and still, she did not notice him.
until one day,
when she too asked for more.
and the boy lit up
and of course said yes.
when he went home,
all the pieces of his track fit,
except for two.
but the boy ignored them, skipping over them when the train got there,
turning around to avoid them.
nothing could stop that train from going around and around.
slowly the boy starts to come out of his shell again.
smiling and laughing again.
hyperness comes into play.
thank you black dress girl.
naisally voiced girl forgotten.
tyedyed girl, he is sorry. really, and truely sorry.
